I agree, I really don't like to go out with people who say well I had this and you had that. The check should be split. When I was preggo and not drinking I never said, well I didn't have any wine.

Ive had the same experiences.
I hate that, nothing ruins a great night then ending it with counting the absolute and crans and calling someone out.

I agree, I really don't like to go out with people who say well I had this and you had that. The check should be split. When I was preggo and not drinking I never said, well I didn't have any wine.
If I am the driver, I never say hey wait a minute. I am usually glad to have drinking company, it means we probably had a great time

We like to split, while some people we are friends with like to go down to the penny. Normally when we split we get Sc***ed because they order apps. and drinks and we ended paying a lot more than we "should"

Usually split- I always look at it like paying for the experience, not the food, plus most of my friends and I are not huge drinkers. I did get aggravated, though, when we'd give cash to one friend, who'd then put the whole thing on Discover for the cash back. Of course it wasn't much, it was just the principle.

We split the check, but if I've had some drinks and my friends were not drinking, I offer to pay more. They usually refuse, so I try to put more in for the tip.

OMG, funny story.... DH and I and about 8 of our friends went out to dinner, well, two of them, boyfriend and girlfriend, ordered water, to save money..ok, whatever. Come to the check...they looked over the check and everyone decided to split it ...except them. They offered up $12 for both of them and that was it no tip. The whole bill, for 10 people was only $167. Now, they sat there and itemized what they got, which actually came to more than $12, but no one wanted to make a scene in the restaurant. Needless to say, nobody has ever gone out to dinner with them.
Oh, wait..DH and I gave them a second chance. We went to Fridays with them and they whipped out coupons. We were sooo embarrassed. And they were still shocked and complaining when the bill for 4 people was $40.
Ok, now we have never gone out with them again!!

We split...there is nothing more uncomfortable for me then to have people adding up what they had and how much it costs.
I figure in the end it will all balance out...I might have an extra drink one night and someone will get dessert another time...it doesn't matter to me.

We just split it, sometimes if one of us knows we had say 3 drinks and one person had water, we pay more for our drinks...Normally when I go out with the girls we order all the same thing anyway...LOL

We split the check but if DH drank more we insist on throwing in extra $. We would never expect anyone else to chip in more than the split.
