I used to work with a woman who had heavy periods every month. And every. Single. Month. She'd bleed all over her chair. She'd go to the bathroom, grab paper towel to cover the seat and wrap a sweater around her waist to cover the.blood stain for the rest of the day. (She lived 10 minutes away)
Every.
Single.
Month.
At times, she would leave blood drops thru the office showing her leaving her office and going to the bathroom.
we mentioned seeing a dr , she refused. Also mentioned wearing an overnight pad and her answer was she didn't. Realize she was due for her period.
Every.
Single.
Month.
This woman today could have had a one time completely embarrassing hemorrhage. Or she could be just like my old coworker. either way, I would have gagged as well

Apparently there is a thing called "free bleeding" I just had a very disturbing text conversation with friends about this. I forget if it was in the comments for something like the diva cup that my friend read about it. Women said they just wear dark pants. That is just so unsanitary to me.

This is my biggest fear because mine are just no joke.
I wear super plus overnight tampons plus a super plus overnight pad and sometimes it still leaks, and that's why I wear black pants for the week I got mine.
Poor woman - like someone else said, hope she wasn't miscarrying but seriously, I would DIE of embarrassment if it was just my period.

OMG how mortifying for her. This is my worst fear. Mine was never super heavv until I got Paraguard and its also become irregular so I can spot for a day or two and be prepared or just get it heavy randomly. When I am in a really long work meeting I stress the entire time about a situation like this.
OMG I had the heaviest periods ever on paraguard. This literally happened to me in a car and I was mortifieddddddd. [& I was wearing super+ tampon and an overnight pad for backup. They were just that bad. UGH. Glad that's over with LOL]

As someone who has had an accident like this, am so paranoid about it. I am an exceptionally heavy blender. It's been checked by my obgyn. I sometimes can't leave my house when it is super bad. I really feel for that woman. I sometimes have to wear multiple forms of protection and change it every two hours. If the timing is wrong, and does not start over night, I can't leave my house.

Feel terrible for that poor woman and for you for having to witness it.
I was at a professional class and when we stood up to break I gushed. It was awful and embarrassing. I ran to Gap during the lunch to buy new pants.
Being a woman is so unfair sometimes

I typically get very light periods, two, three days MAX, no problems ever. This summer I got my period a week early and I was going thru tampons every 15 minutes for about 2 hours. It was crazy heavy. So I can see how this can happen unexpectedly. I happen to be home so I just kept going to the bathroom. I would think she would be aware of it though unless she was just trying to make an escape. I think I would remain seated until the train cleared out.

That is definitely gross… sorry you had to see that!
but, I do feel sorry for this girl.. who knows what is happening? Maybe she is having a medical issue. I am learning you never know what someone is truly going through :( Hopefully she was able to get somewhere where she could change!

ughh..brutal. when I was in JH and started getting periods they were so so heavy. I know I went through my catholic school gym uniform once.  (thankfully it was dark sweat pants).
last year when I was trying for # 2, i did IUI's and had a chemical and ruptured cyst. OMG..i bled so bad at work..i caught it just before anything it got really bad and left and emailed my boss privately and said..sorry..im on my way to the ER.
my mom too, later in life her periods got like that. She ultimately had a hysterectomy because of it.
gees..i hope the woman had dark pants on.
