So anyone else planning to take tomorrow off?
I am Upstate so I think it's probably foolish for me to even consider driving back home tonight, to make it back for work in the AM.

I'm a teacher so I have off already (although I plan on using the day to work on many lesson plans!).
DH already got called in for a 12 hour shift.

My job is right across the street from the Hudson river. I have no idea how the streets are over there. A few people get in before me, so if they can't get in-I'm hoping they call me.

I brought work with me too just in case, but I am thinking my mind is totally not going to be anywhere near sitting down and writing client service plans.

Still showing on the news that most of the highways I would take back to LI are closed anyways, so yeah, as I originally stated I am staying put until at least tomorrow. Many areas/main roads in the Hudson Valley are really bad with flooding and landslides.

I took off Mon & Tues already to go to the US Open. As long as that is still on, I will be there. If it's canceled (hope not!), I will go in to work & use my day another time.

So long as the subway line I take is operating, I will go to work. If its not, then I'll stay home and help to clear up our street. No trees went down, but there are lots of little pieces of branches and a ton of leaves all over the place.

I think it's best to err on the side of caution. Remember that things are not great up here at all driving-wise. If you can wait another day it's for the best.

Its just HARD here with the kids and my parents in the RAIN! The kids are driving them crazy - I can tell LOL

FDNYWife, trust me, I totally feel you.
If I could, I would jump into my car right now and head back to LI.
It just doesn't seem wise. I will check though, maybe later tonight after 7PM it will be safer.

If the MTA is running, then I will head into the office. Otherwise, I plan to work from home. My company asked us to take our laptops home on Friday just in case.
