Sleeping face down?!
Does anyone else's LO insist on sleeping with their face buried? For the longest time I would put DS to bed on his back and that's the way he would be until he woke up. Now he is able to sit himself up and crawl around the crib and when I put him to bed he turns himself over and buries his face with his butt in the air! Eventually he ends up flat on his belly and his head turned to the side, but I can't sleep when he is in that weird position. Please tell me my son isn't the only wacky kid that does this.

My son has slept on his belly with his face nuzzled into the side of the crib into the bumper with his butt in the air since he was 5 months old!

DS has been sleeping like that since around 3-4 months. At almost 18 months he still likes to sleep like that...

Both of my boys are stomach sleepers. DS #2 rolled over very quickly and slept with his butt up in the air and face down. He had good neck control though so I didn't worry too much.

Yep- from around 7 months on.
She loves to sleep on her face... but she is fine.
As long as they are strong enough to lift their heads, they will do so if they need to

yup my DD is 3 months old and she sleeps with her face smooshed down, it still freaks me out but no matter how much i mover her face she still ends up like that or with her face smooshed against the side of the bassinet lol but she sleeps through the night

My mom said that I did that from day one (because at that point we slept on our stomachs with blankets and bumpers  ) until about 2 years old! Then whenever I didn't feel well, I would revert back to that position, until I was like 5 years old.
