He loves sleeping face down
Mason loves to sleep with his face down in the crib... you'd think it would be annoying smooshing your nose and all, but he'll rest his head on his arm so that his face is straight down in the crib. Ugh!
I usually turn his head when he's sleeping to the side. He only sleeps on his belly now that he's turned, but the head face down is a new thing he started a few days ago. Anyone else's baby do this?

Yes! I don't get how DS could be comfortable- but he loves it. I keep moving him, and he would go right back to the same position.

Sean has been doing it since he was able to flip himself over -
He also likes to smoosh his face right into the corner of the crib into the bumpers .....
I talked to the Ped about it - And he said it was fine. What are you supposed to do? Stand over him all night and keep flipping him over? -
He's comfortable, he can easily move his head if he's not - so I let him sleep the way he wants to.

She loves smushing her face into the mattress...and even puts her hands around her face like she's tunneling in to see something

 DS does the same thing. It is cute, but when he's in a deep sleep I turn his head

I wasn't really asking b/c I think it's a bad thing. Just wondered if other babies do it. I told the Ped that he will only sleep on his belly since he turned. The Ped said once they turn there's nothing you can do. Plus, he's very strong and picks up his head. As soon as I lay him down he starts to flip over.
Just don't like it when he's face down and sometimes with the paci in (which he usually spits out). I move it away from him and just turn his head a little b4 I go to sleep... of course sometime in the middle of the night he puts it right back.

Nicholas started doing this about 3 weeks ago....at first, I was so nervous, always going in to flip him over.......but, I've given up recently....

Yeah both my DC sleep this way, especially DD - she will put her face right down into her arms. It used to freak me out, and I'd turn their heads, but I stopped doing that because it started to wake them up.

Same here - with the butt in the air! It's so adorable. I stopped worrying when she could roll herself over. I know I could never sleep that way but she seems so comfy!

When DD sleeps on her tummy (she doesn't always), she always sleeps with her face smooshed right down in the mattress. It drives me crazy!
