Sick as a dog

I feel horrible. I have a cough, stuffy nose, runny nose. I'm like a big ball of phlegm. Thankfully no fever. I have not been able to sleep because of the congestion..this s u cks. DS #1 is now sick, but not as bad as I am, and hopefully he doesn't get it as bad.

I'm 17 weeks pregnant...I'm drinking tea, using saline spray, applyhing Vicks once in a while and I still feel crappy.

Should I take myself to the Dr.? I feel like it might be a waste since there really isn't much they can give me.

Anyone else going through this?

mucinex-d (suggested by my OB) helped me a lot last week (or the week before, I forget already when it was lol).

I went through that when I was about 16 weeks pregnant and it was HORRIBLE! it lasted about 3 weeks because I wasnt able to take medication.

I had a fever as well so I was taking tylenol (recommended by my OB) along with Robitussin (without any letters). Other than that it just has to run it's course!

Feel better, I have the same thing. Try sleeping propped up, I just took a nap and it helped me breathe a lot better. It's kind of hard to get positioned since you can't sleep on your back but it worked and I had a good two hour nap. I wound up taking 1 cough drop it basically did nothing so I won't be having another just to be on the safe side. So far no fever for me either and hopefully it will stay that way. I am making a big pot of chicken soup and hoping that will be the cure I need. Feel better soon!

Had this about a month ago...it took 5 days to run thru my system and I took nothing...just alot of rest! Feel Better!

Oh no Kat Feel better. I would say yes to going to the doctor
