Shots fired at Ft. Lauderdale airport
9 injured. MSNBC is reporting possibly 3 dead but cnn isn't so hopefully that's not the case.
ETA suspect is supposedly in custody

Broward county sheriff confirmed multiple people dead so far.
Unbelievable. So sad for these people and their families

Confirmed: Shooting at Fort Lauderdale -Hollywood International Airport with multiple people dead. One subject in custody.

My God when will this stop, how many lives? I'm so sick over this. What the hell is wrong with us here in America? We need to get our shit together and get some common sense gun laws past. Oh that's right we just elected the NRA to the white house.
When 20 children died in a school and no one did a damn thing nothing will change. I'm praying for those who are injured to pull through and for those who have passed not to be forgotten by our lawmakers and citizens.

Fox News had someone on the phone who was next to someone who was shot... He just reported that there were more shots fired in the parking garage.
I was sad before but, hearing the panic in this guy's voice as he heard the news is horrible (he's still on the phone with them though which baffles me).

I'm so damn tired of "prayers". FLUCKING DO SOMETHING YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING CONGRESS.
(No flame at all to anyone sending prayers, its more of a comment on our entire congress that just sits by. For god's sake, they aren't even LEGALLY allowed to study gun violence).
Lobbyist following a$$holes.

I haven't seen anything about this. Was it just a few minutes ago they were reporting more shots fired? No other news is reporting that.

I haven't seen anything about this. Was it just a few minutes ago they were reporting more shots fired? No other news is reporting that.
It was around the time I posted - since they had the guy on the phone...
TSA is saying active shooter but Sheriff is saying they are investigating something else...

From what I've just seen on the news.. he was a soldier who served and when he came back, was discharged and sent for psychiatric help. At that moment, his weapons should have been confiscated and held until evaluations showed he wasn't a danger.
That, if any, should be a change in gun laws. A person who owns a gun, official or civilian, is showing known psychiatric problems - weapons should be removed from their possession.
