I saw lots of people at the beach with these yesterday.
Personally, I could never. I rarely take selfies to begin with but some of the people I saw with them.....

I like that idea. We have so few pics from trips with all three of us, it's me and DD or DH and DD but very few of all three of us.

It's an arm for your cell phone that allows you to hold the phone far away to get a pic of everyone in the group.
I don't have one, won't ever buy one. I don't take "selfies". If I want a family pic on vacation, I hand my camera to someone and politely ask them to take a pic.

As long as you're not taking pictures of just yourself with them, I think it's fine. It's hard to get family pictures, especially on vacation. I hate bothering strangers.
That said, I'm sure I still will never buy one.

I usually think they are just for people who have to check in wherever they go & who think anyplace they go is brag worthy. However, that's a great point about family pics and I may get one for that now. LIF always gets me to spend $ on something!!

Yay. This way DH and I don't have to ask a stranger to take pics of us and we are both in the pics with nice background. We travel a lot, so it's good for us.

We love our selfie stick! But we use it for family shots so the three of us can be in pics together. I don't use it to make fish lips at the camera so I can post pics on FB.
