Scheduled C-sections
If by chance your body goes into labor and your dr is totally against Vbacs, do they do an emergency csection? or are they forced to do it natural?

Re: Scheduled C-sections
my Dr. told me that if I should go into labor on my own before my scheduled date that I would still have a c-section.

Re: Scheduled C-sections
It's not necessarily an emergency c-section., I went into labor 6 days before my sceduled c-section, got to the hospital at 8am and DD was born 12:39pm, they pushed me back because there were 2 emegency c-sections. They will still do the c-section but if there isn't a medical emergency i don't think it's really an emergency unless your progressing really fast. Im hoping to go into labor before this c-section.
If your wanting to try VBAC, maybe you should talk with your doctor about it...

My practice definitely wants no part of it. The only reason I chose to go back was in between I switched to one that did and I had a miscarriage. Not that it was their fault but my first pregnancy was SO easy that I just wanted it to flow the same way again. It just felt right. Even though the end result is not what I was hoping for but as long as the baby and I are healthy thats all that matters.

My doc is the same way but it's not that he doesn't want to, the hospital he has priviledges at has rules that say VBAC docs have to be within a certain amount of distance from the hospital and when a VBAC pateint is in labor the doc need to be IN the hospital the entire time and my OB said that is just too time consuming when he had so many other patients. With the complications from my last delivery, we opted the c-section was the best route. I wish you the best and if you go into labor beforehand, it will be just fine. No difference, just leaking until your section.
