Happy Saturday Everyone!

My question for today is....
How did everyone meet their DH?

We met in Grad school. After checking him out all semester in class, he finally had the guts to come up to me on the last day of finals.
If I would have left 5 min later, I don't think it would have happened & we would have never seen eachother again.
As cheesy as it may sound..I still think it was fate

We were set up by two friends of ours who were dating each other. The matched us up due to our mutual love of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer".

So when we got married, our cake-toppers weren't a bride and groom; they were Buffy and Angel!

we met once very briefly at a friend's thanksgiving dinner and a year later at a new year's eve party i was co-hosting with another friend. . DH was living in AZ at the time and I just happened to be going there for work the NEXT week so. . ..

We were on the same messageboard together and that message board had a party at bar. We knew of each other before that, but never talked. It was an open bar and after that was over, everyone left but the two of us. We hung out and then he offered me a ride home... we were all the way uptown and his car was in Soho. We walked all the way down there and talked. At one point my feet hurt and I took off my shoes and he decided I shouldn't be alone and he walked also barefoot.

He drove me home and I thanked him for the ride, I was about to get out of the car when he told me to wait and then he kissed me. We've been together since that day... April Fools.

We had mutual friends in high school. We were in the same graduating class in the same high school. We started dating at 16 years old and now almost 19 years later we're still together. (Married for 11 1/2 years)

Me and my DH met at his business...never spoke more than 2 words!!! a couple of weeks later some friends set us up and we have been together now for almost 7 years!!!! It was love at first sight

we met in college but the story behind it is a little funny..

i went to my senior prom with one of my guy friends that was a year older. he happened to already go to the school i planned on going to. turned out we were in the same dorm. i was in his room a lot and DH was his roomate. but at the time the guy friend liked me but didnt have the guts to tell me - he just told my friends. i would have given him a shot too if he just told me face to face and not to my friends. he never did. over christmas break DH IMed me on aim and asked if i was his roomates friend, he found me on AOL. we ended up talking all night and hung out a few times before xmas break was over. now its ten years later, we've been married for almost 3 years, i only know what happened to the other guy because of facebook, and DH still to this day calls me his "internet girlfriend" although i insist that i only continued talking to him cause i already knew who he was

I met DH when me and my BFF's went out to a bar ( we were underage, just out of high school) his friend hit on me & introduced me to his whole group of friends which included DH and another female. DH's friend just didn't interest me but we became friends and I began chatting with the female friend who as it turned out worked in my neighborhood. we made plans to meet up to hang out and DH was there working with her. Female friend suggested I get in his car when we drove to where we were going...we've been inseparable since that night.

ETA: oh yeah...the first night at the bar when his friend introduced us...DH was so drunk he just patted me on the head and said "cute"

My dad's family and his mom's family grew up in the same projects together. They both had many siblings that all were friends and all remained close as they got older. So I had been spending holidays like Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Labor day with him and his family since I was born. When he was 14 his mom passed away and he stopped coming aorund for awhile. I didn't see him again until 4 years later when he came to my aunt's wake. It's terrible but I was staring at him the whole time, he had gotten HOT! After the funeral his sister came back to my house and I gave her my number and told her to pass it along to him and tell him to call me if he wanted. he called like 2 weeks later and we were on the phone for HOURS. We had our first date a week later and the rest is history. September 7th will be our 9 year anniversary and we've been married for 8 months.

We went to school together...from elementary to college where we started dating. It only happened because my sister began dating his best friend. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. We have been together 13 years, married three in July.
