i make 13k more than they say i should make - although I am being paid well at this new job, I don't think I am making a lot more than I should for my experience. I don't think salary.com is that accurate.

It has starting salaries for professors where I work as $86,000, when it is really $36,500.

OMG...i have never heard a professor being paid that low

OMG...i have never heard a professor being paid that low
 They are a little upset that kindergarten teachers make more. No offense kindergarten teachers! But they all do have PhDs from very good schools. Fact is most PhDs can't find teaching jobs so they can pay that low, and still get really good people.

I'm way over salary.com's highest salary for my position. But so are many of the people in my firm who do what I do..I think it's too narrow of a comparison on salary.com for what I do.
