Rudest and Sweetest Things People Have Said to You
Thought this could be entertaining... Since many people seem to be missing that filter, I know many of us have had rude things - but also sweet things - said to us in PG.
Rudest - You're so big, are you sure you're not having twins?

Hmmm Rudest, there have been a lot:
It's wrong to put a child in daycare before a year.
You have to find a way to not go back to work.
If you can't live off of one income you shouldn't have a child.
Are you sure you should eat that cookie, doesn't the Dr. check your sugar levels? (seriously????)
- these all came from the two secretaries at my office, maybe it's because they are both in their late 50s, but one day I ended up crying and just left the office for the day, now I say nothing to them about the PG or our plans for the future, they can both bite my a$$
Sweetest:
It was more of an action than words, but the other night I was boiling and laying in bed sprawled out naked totally uncomfortable, so DH got up opened the window and got me a fan (in the middle of the night!) as I layed there happily cooling down, he had to bundle up under 4 blankets to stay warm. He's such a good man

sweetest: (and funniest!) excuse me, i don't mean to be rude but i just had to ask...is it just me? are you getting bigger or are you pregnant?
 it was the way she approached me, she caught me off guard but was so polite about it i just thought it was so sweet! if only EVERYONE was like that!

I've gotten a few rude ones, my regular waxer talking to my AZZ as I'm bending over to get $$ to pay her " Yah you're definitely having a girl, you got wider"
The sweetest, my DH when I complain that I'm a beached whale he said stop it, you're not, and as crazy as this sounds, since I started showing later, when I was like around 6 mos, he was like you know, you really don't look pregnant, just really bloated....it was a weird sweet thing to say

MIL, telling me that as soon as the baby is born, I shoulld work on shedding the pounds. I am like hello, can you please concentrate on me having a healthy, pregnancy, delivery and child.

Rudest - well no one has really been rude, but some teenage girls said on the subway yesterday - YO SHE ABOUT TO DROP GIVE HER A SEAT.
I thought it was pretty funny, and they INSISTED I take a seat - which none of the adults did.
Sweetest - A lot of people have been telling me pregnancy really agrees with me and I look great.

Yeah, this is the day I ended up just leaving the office (actually the 1st three comments all came in one morning because I was researching daycare), I called my sister to vent and was crying so hard she thought something had happened to the baby.
It would be wonderful if we could live off of DHs salary and if I didn't have $1k/mo student loan payment we might be able to. Neither of the secretaries went to college, so they had no student debt, and both stayed at home with their kids, so I think they just lived a different life and can't see any other way.

Rudest: The only thing I can think of is when I tell people I'm putting my child in daycare they always make comments like "why isn't your mother going
to watch the baby"!!
Sweetest: I get nice comments all the time. The nicest is "I've never seen a pregnant girl look as good as you"

So many rude comments almost all about how "HUGE" I am.
My favorite was the woman who couldn't believe that my belly was so huge but my boobs hadn't grown. Now mind you I'm in the HR department of a law firm. How is that appropriate??
I've gotten a lot of "are you sure it's not twins" or "you're never making your due date" so irritating
Sweet: there is one woman who keeps telling me how much pregancy agrees with me. I could just kiss her!
