Registering BBB and BRU

Registering BBB and BRU

So, I pretty much duplicated my registry at both stores so that if someone chooses to shop at either, everything is there. Then, I figured that as things are purchased from one store, that I would just remove them from the other registry. Do you think this is smart or silly?
I just figured that BBB is really only up north and that it would be great to give the same wide selection of gifts/price points for out-of-town family and friends as well. What do you think?

TIA

doubling up like that can get dangerous (because BRU can be picky with returns)...

also - sometimes it takes time for things to come off your registry when people buy them - so you could wind up with 2 or 3 of the same thing... i would feel badly if i bought someone something and at their shower - they got 3 more of the same item...(but that's just me).

I know, I am nervous about that. How embarrassing if I opened 2 of the same at the shower. In a perfect situation, and if I can stay on top of it, that won't happen. But, not sure I want that to happen.

I think BRU will let you exchange anything if it is on your registry. Did you hear differently? Thanks!

I wouldn't double. I would just split the stuff - that is what I did. The registries aren't always updated quickly - and I think there is a lag online - and you may end up with multiple duplicates which will be a huge pain when you are further along!

I agree and did the same thing with BBB and Target. My Target registry doesn't have as much stuff on it as my BBB, but I am not too worried.

BRU is extremely strict with their policy... I have had a ton of problems returning things off my registry, but the last one just made me never want to shop there again. I just opened up a high chair for my 7 month old that I got from my registry and it is broken and they won't let me exchange it even though it was on my registry. It has to be returned 90 days from when the person bought it. Sooo frustrating!

Re: Registering BBB and BRU

i heard BRU is pretty bad with returns so I would be careful with that and it seems like a lot of work on your part. I used BRU just for the things that BBB didnt carry, and there are items in all price ranges
