REALLY dumb question about newborn photo shoot...
Sorry this is probably going to sound really stupid but.....I know you have to book these shoots in advance - like before the baby is even born. So my question is how many weeks is the baby when you're doing the shoot (obviously it varies a bit depending on when  actually makes their arrival)? I want to have DH cousin do ours because she is a photographer and I love her work but when do you do it for?

We did DD's phot shoot when she was 5 days old- and she was 11 days late. The photographers know how to schedule the shoots and they work around your due date. They will most likely tell you when the shoot will be and then adjust it from there if necessary.

The few I know do it within the first 12-14 days of life. That's when they are wrinkly and squishy and extra poseable. And baby acne tends to sprout after that time too so you'd want to get it done before then.

Most photographers recommend within the first 10 days because they're sleepy and squishy so they can be easily positioned into those cute poses.
