He's already mentioned buying tickets for a game so it really wouldn't be a surprise if I got tickets. Unless it was for the home opener. Which I just tried to get online and it's not showing an option to buy tickets for that day.

what about paying for a "date night" for you guys. i'm sure you don't get much time alone with a child. maybe hire a babysitter and take him out for a super nice dinner or something??

Tickets for the opener were only sold through lottery. I would get tix for the opener or last game at Shea if he's really a big Mets fan (try ebay; you won't be able to order them through the website). I know he would love them.
