Quote for bathroom remodle?!
We were quoted 5k for JUST labor. We have an average size bathroom. This includes moving the bathub where we have our toilet ( which he said is a big plumbing job ) tile and grout, and putting in the fixtures. Can anyone tell me if this seems right or can you tell me what you paid?!!! Thanks so much

Re: Quote for bathroom remodle?!
Sounds fair to me. Ours was a decent sized bathroom and the labor was more than that for a full gut and replace without moving plumbing. It did include some extensive tile work. They did a full gut, removed all debris, replaced the drywall, insulation and subfloor and exhaust fan and supplied all necessary for electric and plumbing lines (ie: slightly repositioning the sink and shower fittings along the same space). We purchased tiles, toilet, sink, plumbing fixtures, and anything decorative. A good, licensed contractor that will stand behind their work isn't going to come cheap. They need insurance, licenses, tools, etc. and if they are good you're paying for their experience too. It's invaluable to have someone that knows what to do if faced with the unusual when they start the job. The last thing you want is for someone to come across a situation they've never seen before, and have them practice on you to find the solution.

Re: Quote for bathroom remodle?!
The reason why its so pricy is because you are moving the plumbing. We just went through that...

Re: Quote for bathroom remodle?!
does that include anything like sheet rock etc?
When we got quotes we got from 4200-7000 the prices included basic supplies! And we had no major plumbing changes, Just a gut and redo.
