Question: How is the 4th of July weekend going to work for most of you?

Since it falls on a Wednesday is your fourth going to be:
June 30
July 1
July 2
July 3
and then the holiday

or are you starting the 4th of July weekend with the 4th and going into the 8th?

I don't even think I have the day before/after off. We wanted to all go to Montauk and now I think it's impossible.

Also--I think the 4th no matter where it falls should give us the days before/after off.

What weekend? LOL.

I have that Wednesday off and that's it. Being that it's "month-end" at work..it's impossible to do anything before or after.

We're going to just have a small BBQ on the actual day.

DH and I took the entire week off. We are going to Boston for a night and then driving over to Foxwoods for a night.

we're going to SC June 30 through the 7th - as long as Rich gets the summer job that starts 7/9.

Just have that Wednesday off. But will probably do a little work from home as I work in finance and month end work is my busy time

I would love to take more time, but my brother is getting married the friday before- and I have to take off 3 days to go to N.C. where the wedding is

I get the day off but have to work the other days. Am leaving work early on the 3rd for a wedding

As far as I know I only get off the 4th. If my co-worker isn't taking off I could probably take vacation if I wanted on Mon-Tue or Thur-Fri. Most of the families we service will probably be out of town that week anyway.

I think I'll just stick with the day.

I'm more concerned with how it will work out for FH. He has a job that is 100% travel, so it might not even make sense for him to fly home for one day and back out for one day.

As it is, on memorial day he has to leave at 3pm for his flight to illinois for work the next day

We took a consensus and agreed to go upstate the weekend before, I am taking the Monday and Tuesday off and coming home Wednesday.

Can't Wait!!!

Next year it's on Friday!!!!!!!

Tuesday 7/3 - Office closes at 1pm
Wednesday 7/4 - Office Closed
Thursday back to work...

Well Dh and I will be away for our anniversary-Vegas Baby! BUT, he has off Tuesday and Wednesday and he took vacation days for the rest of the time off

I will be celebrating the 4th of July by taking midterms. Woohooo! Summer semester is only 2 monts so I probably won't notice it's a holiday.

We are having a block party at my parents house June 30th then I will just be off the wed for the actual day.

I HATE that it is a Weds and not a long wknd. I only have the 4th itself off. My sister is getting married on the 1st, so it will be an exhausting week.

Im hoping DH can use vacation days and take off 7/5 & 7/6 otherwise, I think he is just off on Wed.

we are off june 22 through july 5th!

We'll be on vacation, celebrating our anniversary
and then july 4th on the beach in bayville where it all began and where we got married!
