QOTD: what is your occupation?

I haven't been on a lot lately so I don't know if anyone has been doing QOTD's anymore....just throwing this one out there for fun.

What is your occupation and if you have a baby do you think you'd return to work full time, part time, or not at all?

I'll start....I'm in Accounting and I will most likely return to work full time, it will seriously suck w/ my commute to NYC, but I can't imagine doing it all on 1 salary. I work in an industry dominated by men, so I can't see them making any exceptions for me to work from home a day or two a week, but that would be amazing if they ever agreed to it!

I am a social worker, I will definitely return to work full time. We just don't have the money for me to stay home. Now if the daycare bills outweigh the money I make, I will quit, as I don't have benefits that are worth staying. I mean I get medical and dental through DH. We shall see, really depends where I am when it happens! My ultimate goal is to be in a school district, but I don't see that happening before I get pregnant because of the budget cuts and everything!

I am a CPA - now working for a public company (not an accounting firm) and will definitely return to work after we have a child... full time.

I'm a Customer service rep for a small company..but by night i bake ;)

I am hoping that once a baby comes around, ill be able to work part time at the least. I would love to be a stay at home mom, but i dont think we will be able to afford it

I'm a social worker full time and recently (within the past two years) opened my own event planning business.

I'm sure I'll go back to work full time in the beginning, but my goal is to leave my full time social work job and just do the event planning out of my home.

I am an Engineer and will def go back to work after we have a baby. I dont think I could be a SAHM

I am a personal assistant and getting my masters in Edu. I am def leaving this job after we have our baby. My hours are very long and there is no way it would work. I plan on getting a Part time job and once the job market bounces back, I will hopefully find a teaching job.

im an unemployed teacher/housewife.

im currently watching my sisters kiddies while i wait for my BFP!

i dont plan on returning to work until my kids are all in school.

I'm a High School special ed teacher now and plan on being a FTWM.

I'm also in accounting-working in NYC commuting from Queens. We wouldn't be able to afford for to stay home-so i'll be a FTWM.

I am an attorney. I will be returning to work full time.

I am a scientist in what I hope to be the last year of my PhD. I cannot see myself as a full time stay at home mom but I think I would like to take the first 6 months off after having a child.

I'm an office administrator...right now I am working full time while I wait for my BFP! After I have a baby I plan to be part time. There is no way I want to leave my kid in daycare all the time. DH works nights. I want my child to be able to know me and not just spend time with me in the evening! My job will probably work something out with me..but if not I will find a part time job somewhere else!

I'm in advertising sales. I will probably return to work for a few weeks after I have a DC. They withhold part of my compensation while i'm out on maternity so I need to come back to collect it.

After that i'll pull the "i need PT" and they'll say no and we'll part ways.

Then I'll be a SAHM! My dreammmmmmm

nope... i am still where I was... my bad... I should not have said "private" I just meant it more that I am not practicing public accounting

My job is very family friendly - so I plan on returning to work. I LOVE my job.

I am a supervisor at a very busy medical specialtist practice. I will be returning to work full time 6-8 weeks after LO is born.

I am a labor and delivery nurse and after 4 children I am still working and trying for another.

I am an Opera Singer... I only took 4 months off with my dd... so i hope do to the same...

I'm a full-time social worker. I hope to go back to work after maternity leave on a part-time basis until my child is a year old. Then I'd go back to full time.
