Q about your Junior Prom...
I'm going to see my niece off tomorrow night - she is going to her boyfriend's junior prom.
Apparently, they no longer do junior proms in the school - they are going to some kind of catering hall! In a limo!
Geez. My junior prom was in my gymnasium. No limos. Our parents drove us and picked us up! 
Is this normal now?

I have no idea what the norm is now. My junior prom was in my high school gym, but everyone took limos there  and it was just as formal as the senior prom that it might as well have been in a hall!!!

I thought Jr proms were just a simple little dance in the school 
One of the people on my staff is going to his Senior Prom Saturday night. Their is about 8 of them and they got a hummer limo. The prom is at a hotel. I told him be good, be careful, and have a good time

My school didn't have a jr prom, but my junior high had a senior banquet that was at a hall and that many of us took limos to! My sister thought it was ridiculous at the time, and in retrospect, I certainly see why!

When I was in HS, we didn't have a junior prom.
Now that I teach in a HS, the junior prom is in a fancy catering hall. Like a mini-wedding, only sluttier.

I went to my own junior prom back in 1989, but it was held at the Milleridge Cottage. I have heard that since my year, the later years had it at the school. I couldn't even imagine since my school was so small!

My junior prom was at Villa Lombardi's. But we didn't take limos, we had to take a coach bus from the school.

We always had a Junior/Senior prom. I guess we made our minimum that way. It was at a catering hall.

We didn't have a junion prom. We had a junior banquet but only people in the class were invited.
Our senior prom was at the Huntington Town House.

My HS didn't do the Jr. Prom. In Junior High we had a "dance" and then Sophmore year we had the "ring dance." when we were given our class rings and everyone turned them and signed a paper that they turned your ring. Both of the dances were in the high school gym.
ETA: We did a junior banquet and that was at a hall, but I dont think we took limos. I think the school provided the transportation.

We had a junior banquet in our school cafeteria. Our senior prom was at Villa Lombardis. I didn't go to my junior banquet, but I went to one as a freshman with my boyfriend at the time. I also went to his senior prom and that was at the Huntington Hilton.

we had ours at the mediterranean manor, and it was AWFUL. Food was terrible, the mirrored ceilings were a nightmare (unless you were a boy), and it smelled like mildew!

the senior prom was very nice, at a hotel/catering hall

We didnt havea junior prom - just a senior prom. Blows me away because my school district had money coming out of its arse!
