I'm not sure. I didn't ask for anything but you never know.
DH did buy me a digital slr camera when I was a few months pregnant, because he knew I would want one when the baby is here. I guess that could count.

DH gave me a beautiful Lladro figurine of a mother, father and baby boy. I picked it out at Fortunoff while pg.
I don't feel I "earned" it or anything, it was more about celebrating becoming a mom.

I think they're a waste of $ - I'd rather put $ away for DC instead.
I honestly had never heard of such a thing until DH told me some of his female colleagues told him he'd better get me something good.... then last week when we were in the hospital the pediatrician told DH that he'd better get me two push gifts - one for going naturally and one for delivering such a big baby (he was 9lbs11oz).
DH and I just looked at each other and shook our heads...
I am, however, expecting a nice sentimental and sappy card...

So I'm guessing its a super big present. I'm sure jewelry related.

When asked I said I wanted earings with DD's birthstone and DH thought that was perfect.... later on I informed him that the April birthstone is diamonds! I am really hoping that she won't come too early!!
DH also informed that he should get a push present, when I asked why he said a "letting you push my buttons for 9 months without reacting" present. I thought that was very cute will get him a daddy present. I don't know what it will be yet, but I am hoping to come up with something cleaver.

My 40th birthday was a few weeks before I had  and I received very generous gifts for that. I couldn't see asking for anything else after giving birth.
