Progesterone Suppositories

Has anyone ever had any experience using these? As you know from my other posts, my betas are rising but very slowly and my progesterone has been dropping. The doc ordered suppositories. I have read online that it really doesnt make a difference. TIA! Chat Icon

Re: Progesterone Suppositories

I'm on them, which is par for the course with most IVF pregnancies. They are icky, but they DO the job. Before I was put on them my progesterone level was 15. With the suppositories it shot up to 60 Chat Icon

A word of warning - invest in some pantyliners, find out if your insurance covers endometrum (which is the pill version and much less icky), and expect that your PG symptoms will be a little exacerbated.

I was on them from weeks 5-12 of my pregnancy. Even with them my progesterone level was between 12-15. I had a perfectly healthy pregnancy so they did their job!! Chat Icon

Re: Progesterone Suppositories

I was on them from weeks 7-12. My original progesterone level came back a 12 so the dr. wanted to take precautions.

Definitely wear panty liners and don't freak out when you see little white spots in the toilet after peeing!!!!

Re: Progesterone Suppositories

Thank you for your responses. I am picking up the suppositories today from the pharmacy...they had to order it so I couldnt get it yesterday. My insurance doesnt cover it but if this is one thing that I could do to intervene at this point, I am going to do it.
