preregistering at hospital for delivery - LIJ
did anyone NOT preregister with OB/fill out paperwork for hospital for delivery? I jsut realized I totally forgot ot do this. I'm going to have this baby at LIJ (new Hyde Park). they gave me a paper in the beginning of pregnancy, but OB never asked me for it, and I totally forgot. will bring it nexct time, i guess, but i am 32 weeks already, so not sure how it will work. with #1, i did fill out the paper, but still remembering filling out paperwork when we got hospital, actuallly

I had DD in LIJ and I did fill out the paper work the dr gave me BUT had to do it all over when I got to the hospital, don't remember why .

alot of times it gets lots between the drs office and hospital...
Also- dont forget to check with your health care provider about getting a preauthorization number

This is your second?
With my first I filled out the paperwork, etc. But YES!! I do remember writhing in pain at 2am filling out additional forms...w.t.f.!!!  But for DD#2, I was already in the computer (and it was a sched. c/s, so I was under no pressure anyhow) as I recall...

They gave me the papers, but I never sent them in..oopsie. It was no big deal - DH went downstairs to admitting while I was in the triage area, and it took him a few minutes to sign the papers. Although the nurse did give me an annoyed look because I hadn't sent them in..whatever.

My doctor faxed over the papers after I filled them out and I never had to fill anything else out.
I was also a scheduled C section so I don't know if that had something to do with it.

I did pre-register with the 2nd one. It didn't matter, they couldn't find the paperwork AND I still kick myself for not bringing a copy with me. My DH missed the birth because he was filling out forms.

Ah, I remember laboring like a mofo and filling out paperwork despite being PRE-REGISTERED. But that was the worst part of it. For baby #2 (whenever that might be) I too will be scheduled.

yes, my second. but we have different insurance now, same company (Empire BCBS) , but different employer/plan number
