Cocaine and opium are also from all natural sources. But I'm still not going to grow them in my garden or partake.

True but pot you can grow alone and just use that, just like any other herb in your garden.
I would like to know what everyone thinks is the difference between pot and drinking because even though I do not smoke, I have in the past and see NO difference except that I eat more!

I agree. Opium comes from the Poppy flower, so that qualifies too.

I agree. Drinking is not good for you either but alot people find that not a big deal.

there was a time when I was a huge pothead... but, no longer. I will smoke the occassional joint at a party if offered, but I could not tell you the last time I smoked-- or did a bong hit! Man, if I did a bong hit, like off the three footer I had in college-- I would be laid out for days!

Its all very normal here in the UK...everyone smokes dope. Its only (I think) a class C drug and if you get caught with it you only get a caution.
When I say everyone smokes dope, I really mean everyone....lawyers, doctors, accountants etc. We have a very liberal attitude towards it here in the UK. I never have any or buy any, but if ones going around at a party, hey why not.
It is much more acceptable in the UK. Like Racheeeee says, everyone smokes it and it doesn't seem to have the same social taboo that it has here. Personally I didn't like it. I would rather have a glass of wine. Well a few glasses actually, I'm not a one glass kind of girl

I've had smoke quiete a many times. But, haven't in a few years and now it doesn't even appeal to me.
I find it funny how people say no because it's illegal So is talking on the phone while driving and I see that ALL THE TIME.

I can think of a few people who should start smoking pot. They are a little too wound up and since alcohol interferes with medication, pot seems a better alternative to calm them down.
