I've told a lot of people. Originally we didn't plan on telling anyone but then we found out we were having issues and ultimately did IVF (it didn't work ) It was just too difficult to hide all the doctors appointments. Some day I'm glad people know, other I'm not.

It definitely is. In my case telling everyone we were ttc but having trouble actually helped stop most of the proding and questions. Right after we got married but before we shared our struggles everytime we saw anyone they asked if I was pregnant. It was hard for me. Now most everyone knows not to bring the whole baby/ pregnancy things up unless I do first.

I've told good friends we were starting in August, we told family nothing. DH told a friend this past weekend and I actually got mad b/c we're in the 2ww and I really didn't want to talk about it.

well... we were planning on keeping it a secret from everyone, but my 2 bestest friends discovered my posts here. Neither of them (to my knowledge anyway  ) are TTC, but they do post on other boards within LIF.
We wont tell our families and the rest of the world until well after we are PG

I always have this thought in the back of my mind 
I have actually told my best friend in the whole world (besides DH) bc we are so close. She's an RN and has been through the TTCing process so she has a lot of useful input to give.

Everyone pretty much knows I'm sure. After the mc they either assumed it or asked (and I'm not one to lie so I told).
Everyone pretty much knew we were pregnant... once you tell one person... your secret is over. But I don't regret having people know we were pregnant, even though it ended in a mc. It was good that people knew what we were going through. You can't get support from those who know nothing.

not telling anyone but i have hinted that we probably will soon and that is all i am saying. I won't dare - my parents want me to wait even longer (31 currently) and some friends told me as soon as i am preggers they are gone (i have male friends who are still in the anti kid stage) so i rather wait until it happens.

ive told friends who will be supportive and people who know me here... but as far as family im totally keeping to myself... i dont know how supportive family will be alot of them think we should wait for #2 since were young as if they had a say!

DH & I decided we arent telling family or friends until we are a few weeks along & know everything is going smoothly. I suggested we at least pick 1 friend that we totally trust and confide in them that we are TTC (I figure its nice to have some one close to you if things become "difficult" to vent to).

i tell b/c I feel that if you don't put people in the know (and this is about everything in general as well as TTC) then people don't understand where your coming from, when you feel down, when you are having a bad day, when you get upset etc.

Well, the whole world knows I was pregnant since I made it to 17.5 weeks (but then lost the baby ) So, everyone must assume we are going to be trying again ASAP  It's TRUE, we will be trying as soon as I can get my butt back in the RE's office which I was told has to be at least 2 months for my body to recover...... but I know nobody will be surprised this time around. Oh well.
I don't plan on telling people I'm pregnant anyway until at least 16-20wks. I know that probably sound weird but after what I went through, I'm kind of hesitant to tell people before the bris

My thoughts exactly! Ive already told SIL and everytime she sees mentions it  Other than SIL I havent told anymore but Im afraid that if I do it will be a mistake lol

The baby speculation for us started the month we got married  and it gets really annoying.. so when we do ttc, we're not telling anyone. Our friends who got married around the same time ask us, we just shrug it off.. we don't know what lies ahead, and I'm just a very private person..
