it will go fast. Honestly I cant believe I have TTC'ing for almost 6 months already. It completly flew by.

Try keeping yourself busy. Is there a class or something you can take that will keep you busy? Like those classes they offer for adults at the high school at night. I take a crafts class so that keeps me busy + work.

Good luck.

You never know how long it will take to actually conceive. it may take more than 6 months- You never know!!!

Chat Icon I understand that. I said it would be 6 months before we really start trying. I don't expect to be pregnant in 6 months I just can't wait to really start.

Don't ask us, we think 2 weeks is a long time! Chat Icon JK!

I know exactly what you mean about living in the future and missing the present. Chat Icon I do it all the time!

All I can suggest is use the time to your advantage - save money, eat well and take care of yourself so that you're in the best shape you can be when it's time, spend lots of quality time with your DH, get to know your cycles etc, etc. We decided around September that we would TTC in the new year, and in hindsight, it has gone pretty quickly.

Good luck! Chat Icon

Re: Please tell me

It truly does come quite quickly...When we first started actively TTC, I drove myself insane for the 2WW. Once I started to get BFN's I told myself that I would not toture myself. So now, during the 2WW, I keep my self extra busy doing things I like to do. It truly does keep your mind off of it.

Since you have a goal start date of 6 months, try to do things you enjoy & before you know it, it will be here! I still can't believe I have been trying actively & not so actively for 7 months! Seems like just yesterday. Chat Icon

I'm not exacly sure why you said this, but I didn't mean anything nasty by what I said. I know that alot of people regret waiting so long to TTC- they wish they tried sooner, because they didn't realize how long it would takie for them to get a BFP.

If I offended anyone (which I clearly did) I'm sorry.

It will fly!
When I got PG with DD (unplanned) I just saved for those 9 months, saved every penny and then blew it all on cute baby crap! But on my own salary I managed to stay home with DD for 5 months ( 2on disability and 3 on my own)

Good luck with saving and waiting!

A appreciate your response, but I have only been posting on this board for a little over a month. I didn't know how long she has been posting here, nor did I intend to point something out that she already knew.

Re: Please tell me

i am in the same boat as you, won't start actively for about 6 months. but i knew this timeline last year so i've been waiting 6 months already and it really does go faster than you think.

the benefit to now is that we are nearing the holidays and the end of the year. there are plenty of parties and get togethers to keep you busy. and drink up if you want!

what i am doing now to keep myself busy is focusing on eating healthy and exercising and hanging out here on the boards! good luckChat Icon

Umm.. Thank you for the information that I already knew. Should I call you out on that like you have done to me? Its no big deal yet you are personally attacking me for something I said that was so harmless. I just dont get it.

BTW - Just because she has 2500 posts, unless I stalked every single one of her posts since day 1, How am I supposed to know they were all from the TTC board? By "Here" I meant on the TTC only.

The thing is that yes, it may take time to get PG (unfortunately, lots of girls on here are very aware of that), but it could also happen on the first shot - people choose to wait to TTC for lots of different reasons, whether health, financial or otherwise even though they'd love to be TTC right now. A baby is a huge commitment and you and your DH have to be sure you're ready for it in all sorts of ways because it could happen right away. Telling someone to just go for it because it make take some time is just slightly insensitive if you don't know their particular circumstances.

No harm done! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Please tell me

I honestly think bunnbaby misunderstood the first post and didn't mean anything by it.
People are really quick to jump on you, and it's really easy not being face to face. Believe me, I've been on the boards, not for long, and I've had to bite myself to not write something...like people jumping and diagnosing you just because you've listed two symptoms that can be anything... and all of the sudden someone knows that you have this or that...
Honestly these are boards that atleast I go to to get advice, and if something is said that I don't like, I let it roll of my back because everyone is entitled to have a say...thats why these boards are made so people can voice opinions and have their say...
I really do believe that bunnybaby didn't mean any harm to anyone, and this board which was meant to be comforting to someone I feel has turned into something completely different....

Re: Please tell me

Sorry for all the drama. I agree with above poster who thinks babybunny just misunderstood my original post. We decided to wait for various reasons, have a very ling history (starting with an unplanned preg that resulted in a m/c) and so on. I am not offended it was just an odd response to my post hence the Chat Icon

But like melijane said, not concieving when you would like to is something most here are well aware of and can be considered slightly insensitive though I know that was not the intention.

Love you girls, no ill feelings just Chat Icon and Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
