Nope the snap and go is just a frame for the infant carrier...GET IT. It's the best thing ever and as my almost 8 mo old is now out of the infant carrier I can't tell you how much I miss the ease of the snap and go!
A travel system is big and bulky....it's a big stroller that basically comes with the infant carrier.
IMO just register for the infant carrier by itself...HIGHLY recommend the Graco Snugride - that's what most people seem to get. Also register for the Snap and Go and either pick out a bigger sized/future stroller now and register for it...or just wait until your DC grows out of the infant carrier and then pick one to see what suits your needs at the time. I don't love my big stroller I registered for and wishing now I would have waited and not registered for it and just gotten it now. I would pick something different out now.

the snap and go is just a simple frame that folds small and is light weight - i loved mine and just left it in the car - the infant seat just snaps in
for my son i had a bumbleride flyer with carrycot for long walks
this time i am getting the valco double tri mode - it can be a triple too

I LOVE IT!!!
We also have the graco snap & go someone gave us, which is also great for now, but the stroller will be great for years and has the extra standup bar in the back for a toddler if/when #2 comes along.

We got the Bumbleride Indie. DH thought it looked tougher than the other strollers  I figured at least he'd push it then! It comes with the adapters to put the infant seat in it but we also have a snap and go that I'm borrowing from my sister. Image Attachment(s):

I registered for the Uppa too in black. I got the Chicco carseat adaptor for it. I love that it has the bassinet feature.

We got the same one with the Graco attachment for the frame, we also registered for a Maclaren.

Same. I am getting the attachment for the peg perego viaggio infant seat. LOVE this stroller

We were going to get a travel system but the strollers are so heavy. I know it's something people don't think of, but this was very important to me.
We are registering for the Graco Metrolite in Laguna Bay.

OMG! DH and I LOVED this stroller. It rides so smoothly. Unfortunately, we felt bad registering for it though because it's $$$, so we went with something else.

Now that is why I wish I waited to get for a stroller til DD was out of the snap and go...if I had to do it over I'd get something like this - this looks like an awesome stroller! And not expensive at all!

Wish DS I registered (and received) the Graco Quattro Tour. Wish I thought about it a little more and read into it. I never realized the stroller was 27 pounds! Talk about a heavy PITA stroller.
I used the Snap N Go with the infant carrier as long as possible. Then after a few uses of the stroller I realized I hated it and wanted something smaller. So once DS was out of the infant carrier (8 months or so) and in the convertible car seat I went and bought the Peg Perego Aria.
It's a lightweight stroller (7lbs), has snack tray and cupholder for DC, and a parent cupholder. It reclines and maneuvers relatively well.

As a BTDT mom, my advice is to be realistic about your needs, wants etc.
I hated my big stroller, it took up my whole trunk, it was heavy, etc. It was just a pain!
After the snap and go I bought a Ingelsina Swift (comparable to the lightweight Maclarens) I wish I had never wasted my time with the big stroller because I rarely used it! It just wasnt practical for my needs.

My Peg is 5 yrs old and still as good as the day I bought it. You will love this stroller!! Good choice

we have the graco snap and go for the beginning then i got the city mini as someone pictured before and we also have a chicco liteway for DHs truck in case he forgets to take the citymini outta my truck
