OMG, how awful  I am so, so sorry to hear.
I agree with the others--I think helping her with the day-to-day tasks is going to be important. Just be the good friend you always are. Everyone grieves in their own way....just be there for her

There is this wonderful organization, called, Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep and they are an organization comprised of photographers nationwide who take beautiful pictures of the sweet little angels and the family, if they would like.
I dont know if this is something she could handle, but it could be something to look into.

This definitely this! It my be too raw for a while but when things settle she will want the pics to look at. Even if she doesn't want any family pics please encourage her to take pics of the baby. Also get a box for her to put some things in. Like the pics, blanket and hat. Encourage her to get the hand/foot prints. Or ask her dh to. Then you can make her a piece of jewelry with them to help remember her baby. I am so sorry for her loss.

for sure, she will have some ideas and can help you to help your friend...

OMG this is just unbelievably sad. I am so sorry for your friend and for you. I would imagine just being there for her as she grieves will be all that you can do.

Wow, this organization is amazing.
Jenna- I am so sorry for your friend's loss. Such a tragedy. I'm not sure there is much you can do right now but be there for her.

Life goes on and yet there is always this little piece of us missing. For the rest of our lives there is something missing. Sometimes just knowing that someone else remembers helps....
100% agree with this.
Follow her lead.....REMEMBER....Just REMEMBER....
Tell her you will hold her hand till she can breathe....you will be there at 3am and 3pm and will do nothing but listen to her cry if she needs it.
Do not get mad at her if she is mean, rude etc at all during this time , rememeber her hormones will be going nuts. It is easier to sometimes hurt those we love.
Just make sure she eats, drinks and stays healthy as she grieves.
Help make phone calls....Tell people that may need to be told....
My heart is literally ripping open for her and her family at this time of the year to face such a tragedy.

I agree as well with this.
Some of my biggest regrets after I lost my Daughter was trying to rush away from the intial loss and move on FAST, and the regret haunts me every day of my life. I would push this...HARD....It will mean something in the end when the intial rawness has passed.

I have 2 lousy polaroids of my sons. I would give up my right arm to have even one more pic....
