Please help, I'm spotting **heard back from the Dr.**
I'm 6w4d. I just came back from the bathroom after lunch and there was brownish spotting. Nothing when I wiped. I'm freaking cause up until now I've had no symptoms of anything which is worrisome enough. I just called the dr and I'm waiting for a call back. Normal, not normal?
ETA: I spoke with my dr., they couldnt' fit me in today but the hospital will see me for an ultrasound first thing Monday morning at 8:30 am. She said just to take it easy and call her if there's any more spotting or any color change.
Then I will still have my already scheduled full first appt on Thursday at my dr's office. I feel better now knowing that I least can be checked out sooner than Thursday. Thank you so much ladies.

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
I spotted brown for a couple of days when I was about 8wks along with my daughter. It turned out to be nothing. As long as it doesn't turn red, get heavier, and you don't have cramping, it's probably nothing to panic about.

Brown blood is usually old blood. You usually have to worry when its red.

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
could it just be the implantation? When you get home from work, go straight to the couch and put your feet up, watch a movie and rest!!

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
Thanks. I just wish I could talk to my dr. right away. It's so annoying that I have to wait for someone to call me back. Then again, I guess they do have patients. They should have special nurses in the office dedicated to responding to us when we call.

I don't even know what that is. I mean, I know what it means, but I am so new to all this pregnancy stuff and I haven't even had my first appt yet so I feel so in the dark and scared.
But going home and putting my feet up def. sounds like a plan. Maybe I'll put my feet up now at my desk.

I know with my dd i had a little bit of bleeding, it reminded me the color of ink running.. purplish brown I guess you could say. It was within the first few weeks of the pregnancy.. i only had when i wiped.. i was freaking out. I talked to my sis (she has 3 kids).. she said it was implantation bleeding.. meaning the fetus was attaching itself to the uterus.. and it was normal.
Like PP said if its not red blood then its not fresh blood.. red is something to be concerned with. I had that also but many many months later.

That makes it much more clear, thank you. The nurse just called back, she doesn't seem concerned but is going to see if they can squeeze me in today, if not then monday. thank you.

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
I had a bleeding scare at 11 weeks. It was red blood, but there was no cramping. My doctor's office saw me about 2 hours later, but told me to drink at least 1/2 gallon of water before my appointment. The NP said that can help if your uterus is irritated. By the time I went to the doctor, the bleeding had stopped. I had some brown spotting over the next few days, but everything is fine. I hope you're ok.

This is very common. Don't panic. But of course, have your dr check it out.

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
its prob. implantation bleeding- which can be normal in the very beginning. I had this during 5-8wks. at first it was just brown spotting and then one day i period like blood.. thankfully everything turned out fine.
i am no longer spotting...
you should be fine but have your dr. check you out if this continues!
good luck!!

Re: Please help, I'm spotting
I had brownish spotting too. Not sure if you are an IVF'er but I have read that can make you more susceptible to spotting. Drink lots of water and rest. I am sure you're fine

i also had brownish spotting around 6 weeks and totally freaked out. Don't worry! It's most likely implantation bleeding.

Re: Please help, I'm spotting **heard back from the Dr.**
Hey honey...this just happened to me yesterday...that was my post "spotting at 6 weeks"....I spoke to the doc yesterday afternoon and she said all that your doc said....that at this point it seems to be ok and that its probably nothing..I will be going for an ultrasound on monday also...We just have to take it easy, drink lots of water, and no love making for us this weekend !! I'm sure everything is ok...but I know exactly how you feel...and don't worry, everything will be ok...btw, its not implantation bleeding because if you are 6w4d, that would have occurred about 6-10 days after ovulation which would have been around 2-3 weeks ago...but no worries, apparently this is common and we both should be ok...let us know on monday how you are doing...relax and take care of yourself this weekend
