Re: PLease help DD fall of the bed

First, calm down Chat Icon

This happened to Noah Last month.

I called the Ped and they told me what to look for.

How is she or was she after it happened?

Did she cry right away? Is she playing now or is she sleepy and lethargic?

If she cried right away and calmed down and doesnt seem "out of it" or have a huge bump..you should be fine!!!

It happens.

You are not a abd mother!

You can always call the Ped like I did and they will tell you what you need to hear. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: PLease help DD fall of the bed

Does she seems like herself? It you think anything is abnormal take her to the emergency room? Did she hit her head? Is there a bump? Call your ped and see what they say. You know Brianna best.

Cristina relax and breath. This happens more than you know. I hear it all the time from parents. She will be fine. Where is she now and what is she doing?

I think this has happened to just about most on here. You are NOT a bad mom. They are kids, this stuff happens! If she seems to be ok, just keep an eye on her. But if it makes you feel better, than call you Dr and go in today. Do what you think is right!

You are not a bad mother..these things happen.

Ariel fell down a flight of stairs..she was fine THANK GOD
A TV fell on Alexis and besides the broken finger and a bruise...she was fine THANK GOD
I rolled up Ariels fingers in the car window...she was mad at me but fine.
Im sure I did something to Jaedyn but I cant think of it right now...

If she is back to acting like her old self she more than likely doesnt need to go to the doctor...

You are not a bad mom...these things happen.

Lucas has more bumps and bruises than I can keep count. The other day I caught his head in my hand before he hit the floor (he was going down head frist from the couch)....it's constant once they are on the move.

But it's okay and she'll be fine.

Re: PLease help DD fall of the bed

If you are a bad mother, than I don't know what I am! My kids have fallen so many times that I've become immune to it all. Check her eyes and see how she is acting? Is she acting normal? If so, then she is fine. Kids are so resilient. That fall hurt you more than it hurt her. Chat Icon

I dont know how old this post is , but yes take her to the doc just in case, my DD fell off the bed last week she is 7 months, the ped said to bring her in just to make sure everything was ok, and we did, she was fine, he said to watch her, if she looks like she is sleeping more than ususal, seems like she can't wake up , she is vomiting or has weird jerking movement to take her to the ER.

Re: PLease help DD fall of the bed

If you are a bad mom, than I am that TIMES TWO!

Leah has fallen off of the bed twice. She jumps and doesn't realize her balance is off - so over she goes. It's been onto carpet and she has been fine.

Fell better Brianna! Chat Icon

Re: PLease help DD fall of the bed

DS fell off the bed on to our wood floors when he was a couple of months old. These are the things to look for:

-Did she get knocked unconsious or cry right away? Crying right away is a good sign!
-Did she throw up?
-When you look at her, is she able to focus and look at you? Is she laughing, playing and smiling now?
-Are her pupils dilating correctly? Are they the same size?

She will most likely get tired after hitting her head...it is not unusual and not uncommon.

I would still call the dr. especially since it was a cement floor so they can check her.

If you are a bad mother then so am I. Michael fell out of the bed 3 times. He has gotten so many bumps and blacks & blues. All children get hurt.
