Planning ahead to TTC
Crashing - but curious -
Did you plan ahead (i.e. a few months/years) to TTC? or were you more spontaneous?
DH and I have always talked about starting early next year and now that it is getting close, it is starting to feel sooooo real. Just curious if others were planners or more romantica bout it?

We planned to start after summer. As it got closer I did get a little nervous. This is our 3rd month trying and our 2nd month really trying. Our first month we just winged it first and I think we got a late start.

For DS we wanted to TTC right after our honeymoon and we did. This time around we thought we were going to wait till DS was a year but we started earlier (when he was 9 months) I had the itch! It's a good thing we started earlier though because it hasn't been quick for us this time around.

ttc was planned for me. If you are not sure if you should start soon or wait I suggest you start soon. I was positive I would get pg within 3 months so I delayed ttc and that was many many months ago.

I went off BC a year and a half before we got married... we weren't engaged or anything then, just had been together a few years and knew we would be together forever. But once we had a wedding date planned, we talked about being married at least 6 months to a year before we started a family. Once we got married, we talked about it and decided to wait 6 months to start "not not trying" -- it seemed a lot less pressure to call it that.

We agreed to wait two years after marriage before TTC.
We have been together for 7 years and it still feels surreal now that we are trying.

We were always going to wait a while after we were married, we weren't ready and then we went on our Honeymoon and decided to start. I of course got AF on my HM (oh and as a side note I got AF on my wedding day as well ...b!tch)

DH and I are planners...this time. The first time, we just decided to let things happen...they thankfully happened one month later!
This time, we decided that we were going to try within the year...then some health issues arose that moved that up...but even so, we're waiting until after my minor surgery and then we're moving forward (November)

i am a planner... we want to start on our 1 year anniv. i would start sooner... but then I might have a Dec-march baby and for work reasons, that would be really difficult, so we probably won't get tempted to start sooner!

We decided to wait at least one year after being married, then went the what ever happens happens route. Figured it would be a less stressful way to start!

same here cause if we didnt start earlier and hadnt had no luck like we are..i wouldnt have went to doc and found out i need a little help getting preggo

We had to plan ahead a little bit b/c I wanted to be off of BCP for a bit. We were going to wait the full 3 months but started a little bit earlier. We're just taking things as they come and BD whenever we feel like it...and maybe a little bit more when I think I'm ovulating.
