Ok, brand new at all of this, but how much do they cost and what brands are good? I wouldn't want to spend a fortune, but are the kits in CVS worth it?

Re: OPK
The digital ones that take the guesswork out of having to interpret the lines are $40 for 7 tests. I usually use the First Response because I was OCD about this and need to watch the lines change colors ( ) I think if I remember correctly those were either $29.99 or $19.99. I don't use them anymore since we are getting ready to start IVF and I don't need to use them.

Re: OPK
I started out last month using Answer OPKs. They we $11 for 7 sticks at Walmart. However, halfway through the week I got aggrevated with the lines & I switched to the digitals before I got my positive. I paid $30 for 7 Clearblue Easy digitals at Target. They are definately more expensive, but I think they are worth it for me beacuase interpreting the lines made me too nervous.

Yup the lines aggrivated me as well...so now bc I'm beyond anal, I use the digital to back up my monitor...much easier to read!

Re: OPK
I have used pretty much every brand that is out there. I didn't find that interpretting the lines was difficult so I used the Target brand ones (7 tests for $14.99). This month I am armed with both, but I got the Clearblue digital ones at Target for 7 tests (26.99).

Re: OPK
I like to use no name brand until I get what *looks* like a +, then I use a digital to confirm my eyes aren't playing tricks.
I didn't like the cheap Answer sticks (20 pack) as I never got a positive in those.
