1 nap a day, usually 2 hours. She never took 2.

Re: One Years Old & Naps?

Almost 14 months and she just dropped her 1st nap.

She started sleeping later...until about 7:30, so when I would still attempt a 1st nap she would just roll around and sing. So I gave up trying.

If she was still waking at 5:30/6am I would have kept it (putting her in at 8)

Now she just takes one around 1/1:30 for about 1.5-2 hours.

Re: One Years Old & Naps?

DS is 17 months and just went to one nap a day, but he has been toying with it for a month or two now.
We kind of went with it until he started taking really short naps for the two naps...then we decided to cut him out of the two naps. We kind of forced him to stay awake for a few days, until noon and now his schedule is set:
Wake up @ 7/8 am
Nap from 12-2ish
Bedtime @ 7:30 pm

as AP said, it makes life much easier cuz you can schedule around it and there's a big block of time in the morning and afternoon to do things...we give him a yogurt before his nap so he doesn't go to sleep hungry.

Re: One Years Old & Naps?

At this point, Christian has basically dropped the second nap. They both get up around 6 or 6:30, both nap from like 9:30-12. Nicholas will nap again in the afternoon for an hour and a half or so, but Christian just talks and sings in his crib so I think I'm going to stop putting him in there. Actually when we were away for the holidays he did take a second nap but I think that's because there was so much going on, people around etc. and he was getting more tired.

Re: One Years Old & Naps?

DS is almost 11 months and we're inbetween 1 and 2. Depends on his wake time and sleep the night before. This week was all wacky of course with the holidays and DH was off, so not sure where we're at. But before that he was fighting his afternoon nap around 3/3:30. He takes a am nap around 10/1030 dpending on wake time. Last three days, he's only had 1 starting around 11. Each day is different for now.
