one year old behavior change?

DS just turned 13 months- he had been pretty happy until the past few days when he's become very irritable, less interested in playing. daycare described him as being "mushy" frequently. I called the ped who thinks it could be teething or a developmental stage. he's never been this unhappy with other teeth. I just feel like something's wrong but I'm a worrier. anyone have a similar experience? tia

Sounds like either teething or he's coming down with something. As for teething, some teeth cut without a peep, but the canines are brutal!

Yep whenever dd is getting a cold or when she feels ff she gets extra mushy. I can always tell when she is about to get sick because her demeanor changes. I babysit my 15 month old godson 3x a week and he is the same way. He's getting two teeth in now. The last couple of days he's been off and very clingy. Lots of cuddles.

Prob teeth. My little guy had a very slow painful process. Was like this off and on for a year. Seem to be about done. Hang in there.

Sounds like teething or maybe just coming down with something I wouldn't worry unless there's the obvious illness signs like fever, rash, won't eat, less wet diapers, lethargic etc

A few off days could be nothing. Or it could be teething, getting sick, etc. Ride it out a bit is my advice.
