Okay... just got my BFP....
now what????
I know I need to go somewhere to confirm (although it's a BFP on 3 HPTs)
and I need to find an OB.
I work in Nassau near Mineola, but live near Huntington. Would you use a doctor closer to home or to work????
What else am I missing?
So excited to finally be on this board, ladies!!!

Congratulations
Def find a doc (I'd pick one closer to home BUT thats just me) and make an appt. Most docs won't see you right away- mine didnt see me till I was 6 weeks at which point they sent me for tons of bloodwork, gave me the list of dos and donts, and let me ask my gazillion questions. They had me come back at 8 weeks for my 1st sono.
HAPPY AND HEALTHY 9 MONTHS

WOW!!!!! Congrats!!!!! I get so excited when I see a name that I know!! 
A very happy and healthy 9 to you! 
ETA: Definitely find a Dr. closer to your home. Toward the end, you're going once a week and it's a pain if you have to trek.

Also consider what Hospital your looking into wanting to give birth in, that doctor would have to be affiliated with.

Hey there, congrats!!! Welcome. I would pick an OB midway b/w home and work...one affilated with the hospital you want to deliver at (if you have one in mind that is). Once you choose that OB, call to make a first appt and tell them you are newly pg so they can give you their dos and don'ts of course.

CONGRATS!!!! that is GREAT news!!!
I got my BFP 6 days ago. I am 4W2D --very early!
I went to the dr for my beta hcg and will find out results monday.
Good luck to you and happy and health 9 months!!!!
And yes...I am praying to St. Gerard also!!!

I will be the one who contradicts.
I would say find the office which is closer to the office UNLESS you only plan on making Saturday appointments.
If you don't work close to home, and have your appt during the week.... You will have to go all the way to the doctor's just to return to the office.
I would, however, find a doctor who is affiliated with a hospital which is close to your home.

I would stay closer to home with a doctor. My OB is in Huntington and I love him! He is affiliated with Huntington Hospital. I delivered my first DD there and was very happy with my care. I am pregnant for the second time now and I have such comfort in knowing the care I received from my OB and the hospital the first time around. If you are interested in my OB's name & #, shoot me an FM.

I would recommend trying to find a doctor close to your home b/c at the end you're going to have to go to appointments biweekly and then weekly.
