OK i am NO prude but this is too much!!!
Has anyone seen commercials for the new MTV reality show"A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila"?
The premise is that she is bi-sexual and will be "dating" (read- MAKING OUT) w/ both men and women in a "The Bachelor" styled show.
Im sorry but that is TOO much!! I do NOT think this is appropriate tv for kids to watch.

I think they have other shows with Bi-sexual or Gay people on them also..Parental Control always has Gay couples and the makeout. I think its going to be on later like 10 and it goes like everything else; If you dont want to see it dont watch it. It will probably be a huge hit for MTV.

ITA and DH's best friend is one of the main producers so I kind of have to watch it. I think it looks really offensive.

I agree that it is inappropriate for kids.. which is why I will not allow my kids to watch it.

Is it inappropriate for kids because it's about a bi-sexual woman and she'll be making out with men and women or because it's probably going to be a horrible show? (No offense to anyone involved with the production, just my first impression upon hearing about the show.) I don't think gay or bi-sexual content in and of itself is inappropriate for children, but I do think raunchy dating shows are. That's why parents should be aware of what their kids are watching. Is it being targeted towards kids or teens/early twenties, like a lot of the rest of MTV's programing?

Im a VERY liberal person and am appauled that gay/lesbians are not treated in this country the way heterosexual people are (ie- marriage etc).
With that said, im not offended by that nature of the show, I just personally think that there is a place for this kind of stuff and MTV is NOT it

this is why the bachelor, the bachelorette, or anything along those lines is not seen in our home.
and as stated above somewhere... if i feel it's wrong, i am the queen of the clicker and it won't be on in my house

ITA with this. I don't think its any more offensive than Rock of Love, Flavor of Love, he Bachelor or any of those other shows.
Its perfectly appropriate for me to watch it (although this looks so bad- but I said the same thing about Rock of Love and got hooked), but I would not let children watch it.

lol! i guess cause i dont have kids yet i didnt give much thought to its "bad" side.  first time i saw the commercial i thought "interesting, i may check that out".
i think its like other shows like 'flavor of love' or 'rock of love'. they tend to push the envelope more on cable shows than they do on regular tv. so as long as no kids are watching it, i dont really have a problem with it. i guess gay/bisexual people didnt want to feel left out of the reality show loop!

IMO, most of what MTV puts out is total garbage and this sounds like it too... honestly, i wouldn't let my kids if i had any watch half of what's on TV these days ...
like rock of love and those raunchy girls getting wasted and sliding up and down poles? i don't think the bi-secuality is the major issue, but the fact that all their shows just encourage immoral behavior...let's hook up with anything that walks, let's drink to obliviion, let's cuss every other word, etc. etc. most reality shows are coming down to this... it's disgusting. is this what our society is coming too..
okay, i totally sound like my mother, so i'll stop here... but i really think a lot of these types of shows have gotten out of control. can we go back to Survivor first season please?

I just watched it and I don't know, I kind of found it very raunchy. She definitely doesn't come off as a classy woman, that's for sure!! Who cares about her being a bisexual, but don't go making out with every person you have somewhat of an interest in...that's kinda gross.....She makes the Bachelor look like a man angel!!

I totally agree. I think if you are truly gay or lesbian, this does not apply to you and more power to you.
The REAL problem IMO is that lately with too many young girls "being" with another woman, b/c they "think" will be attractive to men, not b/c they are truly lesbian, and IMO Tila. "Look at me guys, I am so sexy. I am so hot. I like women too!"
So for "some" young girls, this show could be nothing but a negative influenence.
Even Rock of Love crossed the line IMO a few times with the girls kissing each other to look "hot" and be "fantasies" for Bret. Not good to just do something like that for attention, the odds are. I mean, look at these people on these shows. What DON"t they do for attention?
This TILA girl I have no desire to know or like.
