Now what
Post Op visit with Dr.
She said I have one blocked tube (She couldn't fix it)
Had extensive Endo which she burned off
Adhesions that she took care of
and something about Pelvic Congestion? I dunno
Anyway... Anyone have experience with 1 tube and Endo? I've now gone from upset to totally pissed off about it.
I'm getting real tired of every single thing in my life being so damn difficult

Re: Now what
Unfortunately endo can really scar and damage your tubes. My right ovary and tube were severely scarred and damaged and I was told that only my left would be viable for pregnancy. I was also told I would need IVF. I ended up getting pregnant soon after on my own and via my right ovary. The tech was shocked. Have faith and keep up hope. I know you keep getting things thrown at you you still have your other ovary/tube and Drs can totally work with that. Good luck and try and feel better!

Re: Now what
Are you seeing an RE? A specialist will be able to give you the best advice to get pg. I know it's not anyone's first step but IVF will bypass the blocked tube issue. Even IUI monitoring will allow you to know which side you have an egg on - or produce several so you have on each side.
Good luck!

Re: Now what
Not seeing an RE (yet)
OB gave me a bunch of prescriptions for blood work at different cycle days to get a full picture of everything. Once I have enough information, that will be my next step I guess.
My fear is really having the 1 tube and I turn 35 next month. I feel like my chances suck more then ever now.

I would see an RE sooner than later. OBs just aren't the same...
I'm sorry and hugs to you!

ITA. REs will do the blood tests in their office but they will also do other tests that they'd need to run before putting you on any treatment plan. I'd go to an RE sooner than later if you're concerned about age.
Also, 35 is not so "old" for an RE. They've treated younger, but also older. Don't worry - you still have options!

Re: Now what
Honestly I do plan on seeing an RE just to get more information on what my body is capable of naturally.
DH and I have made the decision that IVF is not for us. Unmedicated IUI is the furthest step we will take. After that, adoption is our next step. So I'm not rushing to go to an RE.
I thank everyone for their well wishes and advice. I always find this board and all of you so helpful.

i only have one tube and i'm 35. my right tube was removed during surgery for an ectopic pregnancy. we did 4 injectable IUI cycles and did not get pregnant so we are moving on to IVF. seeing an RE doesn't necessarily mean you are going to do IUI or IVF, plenty of RE's will work with you to do timed intercourse cycles if that's what you are most comfortable with. i would see the RE before running all the bloodwork with your OB b/c the RE is just going to run it again anyway. in my experience, it's very rare that an RE will plan any sort of protocol without running their own set of bloodwork.
good luck!!!

Re: Now what
I thought the same thing but I hear they can give you a bit more info then your OB can. I don't know. That's why I'm just waiting until the rest of the tests and then we'll see.
As someone who has been so independent for most of my life, I find it difficult to HAVE to take DHs thoughts into consideration on this matter. Even though I know it's part of marriage and a life together. I just feel like it's MY body and OUR child. But I can't ignore his feelings... Nothing more then IUI for us
I really felt like it was finally my time for something to go right. I sit and wonder what that moment will feel like to see "Pregnant" on the test. I remember how happy I was when I saw a on the OPK - it was the best thing ever. Month after month of negatives and "not Pregnant" And every time I get AF I get so damn depressed.
I thought this surgery was going to turn out great. I tried to be positive in all of this negative and it just didn't matter.

Re: Now what
Hi there! I remember talking to you about medications in the past and we both said it made us very nervous. I ended up doing lots of injections and everything, and it was totally fine. I had no side effects. However, it is a huge mountain of fear to climb over. I would go to an RE just to find out if your other tube/ovary is working well enough to get pregnant naturally. If so, maybe you can get an unmedicated iui. That can help many women.

Re: Now what
I never experienced 1 tube or endo, but I would consider seeing an RE at this point and consider IVF.
