not loving the secret fit belly anymore
anyone else have these and don't like them?
they are too short on me (um, i haven't grown since my last pregnancy) and they keep falling down.
i think i'm going to have to get more/different pants but i don't want to spend a lot. i want to stay away from Old Navy (hate them, they don't fit me right) and Motherhood Maternity (what i already have).
any other suggestions? i would try Kohl's but i am pretty sure they only sell Motherhood brand (i could be wrong).
oh and i just bought a house and i am poor  so no Gap for me unfortunately

i dont know what this is - full jeans/pants or just a band?
i would HIGHLY suggest the Bella Band! Itll help hold up regular pants or maternity pants that are too big.
i used mine for MONTHS!! i was able to wear my regular prepreg jeans until at least 16-18 weeks. you can get it at target

which secret fit belly pants do you have?
i got a good pair of mavi jeans with the secret fit belly from a pea in the pod for like $60 (on sale) - i know it's expensive, but i wear them ALL the time! they are dark jeans and really cute.
in the beginning i just tried going up a size in my normal favorite jeans...
gap outlet has really cute "curvy straight" jeans that fit well around where you are in your PG...
pants are really tough! i actually got 2 pairs of jeans from old navy which is surprising because their stuff hardly ever fits me! maybe try them again??

i only have ones from motherhood - i guess i could try desitnation maternity to see if they have any designed brands on sale. i just went to old navy the other day, the dress pants are okay but the pockets buldged out and the jeans are SO baggy in the butt, and they are too short for me also.
i hate pants shopping normally, this is not fun!

You could try JC Penney. Some of their stuff isnt bad. Im' more of a fan of their tops than bottoms, but they are cheap!

do you know if the macy's at roosevelt field have a maternity section? i know the JC Penny does and i'd love to just make one trip.

i got two pairs of jeans from desitnation maternity! i live in them, and less-than $40/pair. i think youll have luck there!
ETA
if youre ever in westchester theres a BIG destination maternity by the westchester mall - worth the trip one day if you have the time

I would think so...I live in Suffolk and go to Smith Haven, and they have one...so Smith Haven is like the Roosevelt Field of Suffolk with the bigger department stores, so I imagine they would. Its not a big department, though. But...if you do try on a pair of pants and like them, they have much more to offer online.

I think they all do, even the crappy Bay Shore one has a section. Usually it is by the dresses and women's.
I have to agree with Lauren about their pants. They fit nice in the belly but the fabric quality (in the leg area is yech. But they have more than one brand they carry so it could just be the particular brand I ordered. (shopped online)
If they have the denim pencil skirt (I bought it online) GET IT! Super cute and comfy.

I'm absolutly NO help b/c I have still yet to go shopping for my own maternity clothes...I had a few handed to me from a friend that was preg last year... Least now I know to stay way from Motherhood...

Maybe you can try the pants without the secret belly fit - it has an adjustable waist instead. They sit low on your belly.
I thought I wouldn't like this type of waist, but I prefer it b/c I don't have to constantly pull up the secret belly fit elastic.
I know that Gap sells them. Maybe you can get them on sale? I know Gap tends to be  .

Try Target. Their maternity section is small but I've gotten a few pairs of pants from there that I like. Also, JC Penney has some cute stuff.
As far as I've heard, Macy's does not have a maternity section (my mom asked at the Roosevelt Field one and they said no) but haven't looked for myself yet.

I know the sunrise mall has maternity in macys and they have jc penneys so if you want to do one stop shopping you can try that mall.

Rosevelt macys definetly does NOT have a maternity section I went there looking for it one day and it wasnt there. I know the one in smithhaven mall does

I hate full panel jeans - I got 2 pairs at a motherhood/pea in a pod store and can't stand them - I thought they might get better as I got bigger, but nope. I only wish I could return them because it's such a waste now. The only jeans I can tolerate are maternity jeans from gap that have the really low, almost real waist band - they don't stay up perfectly, but they do have belt loops so that helps. Gap can be $$, but they also have good sales and good coupons. I got mine using a friends and family coupon a few weeks ago. You can google gap coupons and see if there are any out now.

LB, I feel your pain. I bought a pair of secret belly jeans from Pea in a Pod and while I love the jeans, I hate that secret fit belly. They fall down and I would never get another pair with that kind of belly. I know they have Lucky Brand jeans that have a more normal waist and I am pretty sure they are not secret fit. That is my plan for my second pair. Or maybe the Gap has a sale.
