Non-existant EWCM
Is it a problem if you don't get EWCM before or at the time of O? Is this something I should mention to my Dr.? I've been reading of its importance, but I'm not experiencing it myself...

Well, EWCM is usually a sign of impending ovulation. Our body produces it to provide a medium for the swimmies to get to their target faster. Some girls get it 1-2 days before, some get the day of, some get it the day after. But it is an indicator of ovulation. Are you charting or using OPKs to check on ovulation? If you are definitely ovulating, then you can use things like Pre-Seed to help out a lack of EWCM.

Also, just because you don't see it externally doesn't mean it's not in there! It could just be up by your cervix!

This is a good point. I was very worried about my EWCM b/c I never really saw it on the toilet paper. Turns out, mine stays high up by the cervix and I only see it occassionally after a BM (sorry if TMI).

great point. I would pay CLOSE attention to how you look on the TP after a number 2 bathroom trip. Because you are sitting in a very 'open' position for a bit of time when doing that - things tend to flow much better...

ITA... I would not have really thought what I am experiencing right now is EWCM... I thought there would be MUCH more... but I got the smiley.. so it obviously is.

i agree with the ladies...
i never noticed it either...but it was there the whole time.. it stays up in the cervix.. which is where it needs to be!!
the best way is to just check with your...ahem...fingers

Thanks ladies... I've been charting and using OPKs and I got a  last month... not too sure about others since I used lined OPKs... but either way - I never noticed EWCM... but I guess I should "go fishing" to see what's up...
