Non-election related topic: looking into the near future...
where are you going for thanksgiving dinner and if you are not hosting, are you bringing a dish?

I'm going to my brother's, and they're taking everyone to a restaurant this year, so no bringing dishes for me!
I have mixed feelings about it. It's a little less traditional than normal, but we will all be together sharing the traditional foods, so maybe it'll still feel the same. Of course DH wants me to make a mini Thanksgiving that weekend at home, just so he can have the leftovers...

we're going to my grandma's. she lives in an assisted living place, and we signed out a room and my mom is bringing in the bare basics.
i am going to make corn bread.

I am not hosting or bringing a dish.
I am going up to Western MA to eat with my inlaws.
This gringa has learned not to bring a dish, its judged before I ever even unwrap it.
(MIL and DH got into a huge fight over my flan this summer ) So, I will be going empty handed.

Going to my mom's!!!
I bring dessert- a chocolate cream pie for my dad and some sort of pecan or pumpkin dessert as well!

This year I will be hosting. Normally DH & I are in Hilton Head Island with his family for a reunion but our airfares got screwed up & i was scheduled to have surgery that week,we had to all back out.
So now my family will be coming in from OOT & I will have Dh's family at our house...looks like 10 adults & 3 kids

We are going to my ILs this year, and bringing my parents w/ me. I usually ask my MIL ahead of time if she needs/wants me to make anything. If she doesn't then I'll make a pie or two and bring that as well as pick up some apple cider and sparkling cider.
My parents will probably bring a couple of bottles of wine.

my family eats early so DH and I will go there and I make the mashed potatoes
DH's family eats later and its all spanish food - yummy! so i will bring a lasagna(they always ask me to make it)
