NJ unemployment benefits are actually pretty good. You should be able to file pretty quickly, but if I remember correctly (my company filed chapter 11 and we all lost our jobs) the company has to send in info first. This was a while ago though, so I'm not sure if the process has changed. I was in Bergen County and the number I used to call was 201-996-8021.
You will get through this and find something bigger and better!

In NY you have a waiting week and then you can file..
Go on New Jersey Department of Labors website and look for an Unemployment link..all the info should be right there..
Im not familiar with Jersey but if you need any help please FM..I just helped my girlfriend file..but that was NY.

First I am sorry that you have to deal with this. Second I know in NY that you can file the same day you are let go. When my last job layed me off in the morning, I had filed for unemployment the same afternoon. Just look on the NJ Department of Labor website and they should have all of the details.
