I never wake a sleeping baby to eat. As long as she's gaining weight, I'd let her sleep...and thank your lucky stars that you got a full night of sleep when she's still so young!

Re: newborn sleeping through the night

i never woke her up when she was sleeping at night but i did wake her up every 3 or 4 hours during the day so she would know the difference between day and night

Never wake a sleeping baby, unless having weight issues or being a preemie.

Enjoy and I hope it lasts for you. My oldest was like that :)

Re: newborn sleeping through the night

oh leave her if she is sleeping dont wake her!!. Lessons learned I would wake DD#1 to eat if she didnt wake herself. Big mistake, cause she didnt sleep through the night until she was almost a year and I totally blame myself. DD#2 I let her sleep until she wakes up and sometimes thats from 8:30p to 7am my lil gift from above I guess for all that time i walked around like a zombie before. Chat Icon

Let her sleep. I only get up if DS starts crying. If he fusses a little bit, he can usually put himself back to sleep.

Let her sleep and enjoy it bc it might not last. DS slept like that at first and then at. 3 months started waking every few hours.

DS had the worst sleep regression between months 3 and 4. Enjoy whatever sleep you can get cause one day her sleeping patterns could change.

You should discuss this with your pediatrician, but usually as long as baby is gaining well and having enough wet and dirty diapers, it's fine to let them sleep. All three of mine started STTN from a few weeks old. Enjoy the sleep!

Re: newborn sleeping through the night

Are you nursing?

With DC1 I went by the never wake a sleeping baby mantra and my LO slept for long stretches from a few weeks old (both during the day and at night). I kind of wish I did have a little more of a regular feeding schedule because I never really established my supply and I struggled for months.

If your LO is eating well during the day and you're having no issues (I had plenty of latch issues as well) I probably wouldn't wake her and I'd enjoy the sleep myself.

That's my only thought to consider.
