Newbie with a question

Hey Ladies! This is my first post on LIF.

My Hubby and I aren't trying to conceive but we also aren't taking any precautions. We just started "not trying" a couple of months ago. My AF came a day early, which it never does. Time passed and I know we got "busy" when I was ovulating. This time AF came a couple days late but only stayed for 3 days. That never happens! TMI: it was bright red. I thought maybe I could be prego and it wasn't my AF but was implantation bleeding. I took 2 tests and they both were negative.

My question is, has this ever happened to anyone? Is it normal for AF's duration to change when your trying to conceive, or in our case not trying?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Implantation would only be a little bit of spotting one day, not 3 days of bleeding. So if you had 3 days of bleeding, I would think that was really your AF. Are you sure you BD during O time? How do you track your O?

Re: Newbie with a question

I've tracked it on babycenter.com. But whose to really say that I was O at that time. I was just curious to why AF was so short since that's not my norm.

Thanks for welcoming me! I hope this site becomes as addicting as LIW was when planning my wedding! Chat Icon

What Gina said.

Once I started tracking my cycles, I've noticed a lot more things (AF symptom, cycle patterns, etc.)

Newbie with a question

if you had bleeding straight for 3 days i would think that was your period. how long is your period normally? do you have a regular cycle? if your cycle is longer than 28 days, if you are just going off of a website, you won't actually ovulate on cycle day 14 the way they say. if and when your ready, it might be better to move on to OPK's to give you a better idea of when you O.

Are you a 2011 bride by chance?

AF +/- a few days is totally normal. Most people aren't exactly the same every single month.

My period is usually 5-7 days long, thats why I asked. I figure I'm going to give it a couple more months before I move on to OPK's. Thanks

Yes I am a 2011 bride! I was MNM0805 on LIW. Its almost been a year since my wedding. Time went by so quickly!
