I live in Nassau and we used Gold Star floors to refinish our original hardwoods in our 50+ year old house they did such a beautiful job...Here is the website..

Thanks! Got an estimate today... they seemed fairly reasonable. Did you negotiate the price? If you don't mind me asking, how big was the job? And in what town?
Any other suggestions?

Hi sorry ..I just saw this...about negotiating I do not know because I was not there when my husband hired them..I do know they gave us a fantastic price...we did our living room, dining room, hallway, and 2 bedrooms...we are in East Meadow and this is the first floor of a colonial...
