hardwood floor refinishing? cost??
has anyone gotten estimates on how much it costs to get hardwood floors refinished? I know it depends on the size of the room...but i am just curious in general what the rates are like, i am not sure the square footage of the room, i am bad at eyeballing it...the room is pretty big though, it's a long rectangular room

I paid $1650 for approximately 500sqft (LR,DR,bedroom, Hallway). That included sanding, two coats of stain and two coats of poly.

we had our wholes house done
LR, DR, hallway, 3 bedrooms and 3 closets
it was 1700
sanded, poly...no stain we kept it natural
The guy we used retired right after our job. He said it was his last one when he started the job (my house didn't make him retire  )
We had them done June 2007
