I would not cancel my appointment, I think you should go. Unfortunately some men do not listen to their wives when we tell them important things.

I would definitely NOT cancel your appt. I would make it clear that this was very important to you and you are extremely disappointed. I don't know why they don't pay attention and force us to treat them as children!
