To answer the questions... I was supposed to have the baby at LIJ!!! I never saw the resident who sent me home again... trust me we were looking!!! and as for the irregular contractions, all they said was that if it were really labor, they would be more regular... I guess I showed them! Lol... Thanks for reading ladies!

Wow! What an amazing story. How ridiculous of the hospital to not check you out once more. Amazes me to hear stuff like this when labor is so unpredictable. Very happy that you and your son are healthy!

Wow, I know this is super old but OMG!!!!!! I read this birth story outloud to my dh. Wow, you are so strong!!! What an amazing story! I hope you or your dh gave that hospital a piece of your mind about that resident!!!! Congratulations!!

Congrats!! happy all worked out. I too went to the hospital as my water was broken for 12 hours. Had some pain. They said I was a finger tip and to go home. I was home maybe 30 min and told DH I wanted to go back and get a room so I would not have to give birth in a hospital hallway. We went back (Just so me strong cervical pain) I walked into stonybrook cursing and when I got in the room they said your ready to push!! OMG this would have so happened to me if I stayed home. But what an amazing story you have to share for years to come. Good Job mom. So exciting!

Thanks girls! He is one now... And I came bak here to read my story again... I still can't believe it! We are all doing well... He has a generic disorder we found out about at 2 1/2 months called neurofibromatosis.... And now my life is focused on my two beautiful kids and helping to raise awareness for NF and hoping to help find a cure!
