My face is uberswollen- UPDATE, scroll down.
I don't even know if this is POSSIBLE, but it's the only explanation i have...
Rich ate shrimp last night (ew ew ew i hate it), then kissed me (a lot.)
My face started getting itchy, my throat was swollen, and my lips started tingling.
I took a dose of Benadryl, came home, and went to sleep.
I woke up the morning and my throat is worse, my lips are HUGE and purple, and the whole area around my lips is bright red.
What is going on?!?! Could I have had an allergic reaction to the shrimp, even though I didn't ingest it? And how could it be WORSE in the morning?!?
I just want my face back 
What do I do? My doc isn't open until tomorrow.

If you are still that swollenthe next morning and after taking bendadryl, I would get to the ER.

it sounds like an allergic reaction. defeintely see your dr. tomorrow and keep taking the benadryl. i don't want to scare you but it your throat starts to hurt or you have problems swallowing (you should be fine since you did not ingest the shrimp), go to the emergency room right away.

wow... thanks guys....
We had chinese, and I had my usual. Nothing different, no surprises.
My throat is itchy and swollen, but I'm not having trouble swallowing yet.
Could my face be this bad from just TOUCHING shrimp-lips? I didn't even eat the shrimp!

Yes, you absolutely could have an anaphylactic response from just touching him! My mother is so allergic to shrimp that the smell alone does that to her. She has to carry an epi pen everywhere. Honestly Nic, I would go to the hospital if I were you. They can give you a shot and it will go away. Hang in there!

i made my mom come look at my face - lol - she was a nurse for years.
She said that it's probably not hospital-worthy, but I could go if I wanted to be prettier.

I had a period of time where I was suffering from chronic hives, and along with the hives, my lips would periodically swell up to a ridiculously large size! We never found out what was causing it, but it usually went away on its own within a few hours. I know it's an awful feeling though

I'm just going to go to the Dr. tomorrow...I'll take another dose of Benedryl when Rich gets here w/ it, and see how it goes.

So it got reallllly bad last night, I had to go to the E.R. They gave me a high dosage benadryl type shot in my AZZ, and told me to follow up w/ my Dr. today.
It's not swollen too much anymore, but my lips are all blistered and STINGING.
Why do I get all this WEIRD SHIAT!?!?!
