My doctors appointment update. Update!
Today i went to the doctors for my cervical length check and 3 hour glucose test.
So i failed so i have gestational diabetes.
And my cervix shortened to 1.0cm, so im in the hospital right now, and they gave me steroids for his lungs. My doctor doesn't think im going to go into labor anytime soon, but wanted to do it a a precaution.
This is been a very rough pregnancy, i have been on bed rest for 2 months already, and now all of this.
The NICU team came up and was telling me what to expect, and how they do very well at this stage but he would have to be here until his due date. Pray he just stays in a while longer. thank you.
Update!! So the handsome doctor that did by group beta strep test last night came in, and give me good news. They want to send me home.  They don't think im going to go into labor any time soon, and that i am feeling good, so they would rather have me at home. The steroids were so important to get and now that i have those on board, they feel very confident.
Plus i didn't sleep at all last night. My roommate snored like a pig in heat, and she was a royal B*tch. I said hello to her 5 times ans she ignored me. Anyway i wont be discharged until after my 5:00 once the 2nd shot is in,
Plus i live 20 minutes from the hospital, so if i have any questionable feeling or my water decided to break to come right in. But my doctor is pretty confident thats not gonna happen for a while.

I'm so sorry you have GD and are having such a hard pregnancy. I pray that your LO stays put until it's the right time for him to be born.

at least your in the hopsital so that you'll be on constant monitoring... u still doing the p17 shots, isnt that for the lungs?
so now tthat you have GD what do you have to do?

the p17 shots are for pre term labor. I received different medications for his lungs.
With the GD, the nutritionist is coming tomorrow. and i have to follow the diet. The doctor might let me go home this weekend, so keep ur fingers crossed.

At least you're in the safest place you can possibly be for your baby. Best of luck to you. I'm sure everything will turn out just fine.

I'm so sorry you have GD...I know it's the last thing you needed on top of everything else.
I'm glad they are sending you home - now stay in bed when you get home!
I know how hard it is and you are going stir crazy, but it will all be worth it.
Thankfully, you are at a point where the baby will be okay no matter what!!
Just keep doing the best you can and everything will be fine!

thanks gerty!! i intend to stay in bed until my next doctors appointment lol. im just glad i can sleep in my own bed tonight

OMG! I cannot believe all that you are going thru!
i am happy to hear the update that they are sending you home today. At least you can be comfortable in your own house and your own bed.
Hang in there. i am glad they gave you the dexamethasone for the lungs. That is awesome to have that on board!
you are being monitored sooo closely and that is soo good!
