Good luck today, darling!
I had some similar issues at the end of my last pregnancy. I know how upsetting it can be. Most important, take care of you and baby W. I know you want nothing more than to have a happy and healthy baby. Just try to take it one minute at a time.

Can you drink a lot of water to help the fluids go back up?

I was taken out a month early from work and put on bedrest b/c of BP issues. I was also induced 2 weeks early since I did have protein in my urine, severe swelling and some issues with my bloodwork. Once I was taken out of work, I went in twice per week for monitoring. If my BP was really high, I was going to be sent over to L&D to have the baby.
The doctors wouldn't allow me to go past 38 weeks b/c I was developing pre-eclampsia, but they thought I was going to be induced even earlier. Here are some things that actually helped me make it to 38 weeks: 1. Staying off my feet and keeping them elevated above my heart. That should help with any swelling you may have. Forget about things that you wanted to get done. We moved into our house while I was on bedrest - 5 days before my induction. The little I did was while I was lying on the couch. Your health comes first. Also, try to lie on your left side.
2. Drink a lot of water.
3. Your doctor/NP will likely do a BP check right away. You may be nervous, which could raise your BP. Have them do another check later on in the appointment. If you're willing and they're willing to let you go on bedrest or modified bedrest, have them take your BP once you've been lying down on your left side for a few minutes. If your BP is within the acceptable range, push for them to put you on bedrest instead of delivering immediately and get another pressure check in a few days.
I know how nerve wracking this can be. Take it easy and good luck!
This was me too to a tee. I was taken out of work a month early, but my OB allowed me to work part time from home so that my FMLA didn't have to start so early. So - my maternity leave didnt start until I actually delivered and I was able to keep my benefits with no problem. Sure-my pay was adjusted for those weeks, but in the end it was worth it to me to be able to be home with lo a month longer.
