My baby boy is here - birth story! (UPDATE w/PHOTO!)
After my internal exam on Thursday my doc said I was 3.5cm dilated! Could not believe I was not in labor and we scheduled an induction for Tuesday.
Thursday night I had tons of cramps and contractions but not much stronger than the week before at my last internal.
Well at 6am I woke up with stronger contractions and by 6:40 I was doubled over in pain, so we left for the hospital in the city right away. The contractions were so close together and painful I couldn't believe it. Got admitted at 8am and begged for epi. I was 6cm dilated already!!!! Got epi at 9am. Torture waiting for that! Natural birth moms - wow, you are incredible BTW.
Anyhoo by 11:25 I was pushing - this was happening sooo fast. After 30 mins of pushing Dylan Michael was born!!! 6lb 15oz 21 inches long on 9/21 at 12:11pm
Later in the day he was diagnosed with spontaneous pneumothorax and had to be admitted to NICU where he is now. He is on oxygen to repair a collapsed lung but doing well. He will likely need to stay a few days after I am discharged :( but looks like he is recovering.
Update 9/26: Dylan did so well in the NICU and we were discharged yesterday. His lung is fully recovered and we really appreciate the help and care he received at St. Luke's Roosevelt in the city. Especially the lactation consultants who were on hand 24/7. Here is a pic of Dylan just hours after he was born.

We had the same original due date right? Sept 16th? My DD was born at 12:06pm on sept 21st! Is that your LO's bday too?
